Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–9 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Albany is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is a members only wood panel leatherback chair, cigar smoking place. I’m just kidding. I don’t know if you can smoke cigars there, but this is an old school member’s only club in Albany. It was nice to be a guest staff or very friendly.

Great service, great ambience, great food. Can have meaningful conversations at the table without having to try and drown out any neighboring table conversations or loud music. Easy parking too.

Tiffany was wonderful as our waitress. Coffee was cold. Food was terrific. I had the cod.

Amazing place. We had the pleasure of staying for a charity event being held near by and in conjunction with members of the club. The building is intense there is so much to take in history wise. I wish I had more time there to explore the building and take it all in. Unfortunately we did not pack for the dress code so we weren't able to enjoy the food or bar but now I know what to bring next time. The gentleman that work there are polite and pleasant and will go beyond to make sure you feel special. Set against the state capital building the Fort orange fits in well with the historic feel of the area.
